Lamp with Worship of the Cross

Salona, 420-550
Ceramic
Archeological Museum, Split, lamp number 13

In the central panel a man bows or kneels before three crosses, or more particularly before the cross on the left. The man wears a short tunic of the military style of the age, and also boots, apparently. Most likely he is intended to model devotion for the viewer.
